Renee joined the Cate Bakos team back in 2016 after nearly 20 years of experience in the Tourism Industry after having graduated at Travel and Tourism College in 1995.
From being awarded top sales consultant at the Queensland Travel Centre to managing the Australian and New Zealand markets at Hayman Island (including the high-pressure, emotional and exciting Wedding market), Ren’s ability to problem-solve, cope well under pressure and handle high-stakes situations holds her in great stead in her advocacy role today. Her later appointment as Business Development Director for the InterContinental Melbourne at the Rialto highlights Ren’s people-skills and her ability to relate to a broad audience.
Having also worked as a National Advertising Manager with Real Weddings magazine working directly with the Founding Editor and Creative Director for this boutique publication, Ren’s adaptability to tough deadlines is something she’s proudly brought with her into her dynamic role at Cate Bakos Property.
Today Ren is our much-loved Post-Sales Advocate and it is Ren who guides our clients through the Purchase to Settlement phase, including managing the interviewing and appointment of independent property managers for our investor clients’ properties.
Ren has two small boys and in 2016 she realised the juggle was never going to end. She looked closer to home for a fulfilling role without the hospitality hours and endless business travel. After buying an investment property with Cate several years before, she took the brave leap into Real Estate.
When anyone else would feel overwhelmed or exhausted, Ren smiles and takes each challenge in her stride. We feel very lucky to have Renee on board.
Outside of work Ren loves to be with her two boys, her husband Justin and she loves to travel!

Cate Bakos and crew are the most friendly, dedicated, understanding, hard working but always available team (sometimes replying to my emails at 10 at night!) you are going to come across in this industry. Full of suit wearing fat cats and big wigs it was very refreshing to have a female applying her craft, she's like a "velvet hammer" soft touch but packs a punch! I was treated as if I were her only customer!
Watching Cate on video as she was inspecting a potential property get down on all fours to check the foundations under the house in a pencil skirt and heels was amazing!
